Scope: The term chemical biology refers to the exploration of biological processes with chemical approaches and tools. The aim of this symposium is to highlight different aspects of research in chemical biology and how it is used to answer important scientific questions in biomedical field.
International and national experts in the field will cover topics such as:
- Use of comprehensive drug and known bioactive chemical sets in screening
- Development of novel bioactive small molecules
- Exploration of new drug/probe targets
- Developing and using and chemical probes as biosensors
- Examples of local and international platform initiatives, infrastructures and resources
Students and post-docs are encouraged to submit abstracts on their work related to chemical biology for short talk or poster presentations. Those who submit abstract for oral presentation are notified about the selection by October 10th.
Organizers: Krister Wennerberg, Outi Monni, Helsinki Biomedical Graduate School
