Genotyping, Gene Expression, and DNA Methylation Technologies
FIMM Technology Centre provides SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism), CNV (copy number variation), and microsatellite genotyping services for large as well as small projects. The available technologies include SNP/CNV genotyping with Illumina BeadStation 500GX and iScan, Sequenom MassARRAY, Affymetrix GeneChip, and Roche LightCycler 480 Real-Time PCR systems, as well as microsatellite genotyping with ABI3730 platform. Both genome wide analysis, focused content marker sets, and fine mapping of selected regions are supported. Gene expression and DNA methylation analysis with Illumina technologies are also available. We are not restricted to analyzing human samples, and projects studying any other organisms are also welcome. E.g. in year 2008 we had 25 projects and produced 1 750 000 000 genotypes, in year 2009 35 projects with 1 470 000 000 genotypes.
